Watcher

Watcher

A Poem by Raymond Federle
"

SUPRISE!

"

There is a fear in my mind.

That grows in silence.

Like the shadows that form in the corner of your eye and disappear when you turn to look at them.

I feel watched.

Pressed in upon by an unseen presence.

There is something there watching, waiting.

My anticipation grows with my fear.

There are nights I feel it is upon me.
