Endless Depths

Endless Depths

A Poem by Raymond Federle
"

Endless Depths

"
A book of shadows,

turn the page.

Fly far from death

and wars they wage.

Find a shining heart within.

Ensconced steel nights of silent pain

and bronze days of rage.

Rise from your bed,

worn body and frayed skin.

All that you want

all that you need,

is named a nameless sin.

You cannot hope to know,

a dwindling world below your weary soul.

Through Heaven's chill or Hell's searing heat.

To distant lofty heights you cannot achieve.

A really interesting read, one with intense feeling of doubt or dread - what is at the end? Is there room for redemption?

I see man's history in a flash in your words. But there is hope at the end of the tunnel...A very good write...:)...........

I like the almost grim fairytale aspect to this...you always chill but leave me in awe x
