My Course

My Course

A Poem by Raymond Federle
"

My Course

"

What fair wind must I ride,
Away from twisted shades of despair.
It's not as though I'm dead inside,
I just don't really care.

My lack of giving everything,

Is not by choice,

But made.
Chained to what I thought I loved,

That plans in stone are laid.

Blown about on troubled wind,

Is now the course I've set.
For lost at sea is a better me,

For all the life I've left.
