Today

A Poem by Raymond Federle
"

Today

"

I journey to a wonderous place.
I find my childhood home;

And hide happily inside.
To relax on a clear afternoon,
With the sky so large and wide.

The noon shadow is high and swift.
In a world that rich men have bought.
But I'll stay here with me,

As if comfort were needed.
Happily lost in thought.

i could stay in this house...i often revisit this house...but it is more in my mind too...i will never be able to go back, but i would like to...it was simpler then in the 50's and early sixties...i felt safe...

i don't now...

i like this poem.

This is a poem I wrote some time ago and shelved...but I thought deserved to have a little fresh air and sunshine! :)
