Shall I Crown TheeA Poem by Raymond FederleShall I Crown TheeShall I crown thee now? We, the many slain, exalted you with bodies buried, sown in hate. Light and hope died this day. At your psychotic leisure you may watch my comrade army fall. You painted our portrait with all the wrong colors. A collage of mistakes. The bruises fell alongside the debris and terrible wreckage we wrought. A translucent vein of morbid distaste and we cried out... "All hail Death, our King." A more troubled brow never held so heavy a crown. © 2014 Raymond FederleAuthor's NoteReviews
