PlacesA Poem by Raymond FederlePlaces
There is a need to bleed the sun black, just to escape this heart-shaped place. I have never longed so achingly, wishing for stars to disintegrate; To collide into bewildered eyes, wasting away disillusioned days. Had I a soul, I'd destroy it, like the wind melts this loathsome sky. Destroy the beauty.
I only pray you let me witness my beautiful, final destruction. Empty this heart. Rid me of all that you believed, of all you found sympathetic. I wish to lie here in this heart. Just let me lie here unafraid, in this place. © 2014 Raymond FederleAuthor's NoteReviews
