Bruises

Bruises

A Poem by Rebecca

I graze my fingers over my lips,
still warm.
The touch of your mouth lingers
Left to right.
Red to
violet to
peach.
You created a rainbow in the numbness
Like when the waves are breaking
the colors cascade through the mist
Just before they reach the shore.
Evaporated.
As if they never existed.
Red To
violet to
peach.

This created such a picture, a slightly disturbing one, but also kind of sexy. Definitely haunting.

Very nice use of words and thoughts. I liked the use of colors and honest thoughts. You gave glances of human contact and the change of color/emotions. Thank you Rebecca for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
