Entity in the dark

At 5AM in the morning today I awoke from what i believe is called 'Sleep Paralysis', stricken with fear i could not sleep and ceased the oppertunity to write.

It is unspoken of, 

I feel you there...

Lurking; Calculating your attack,

you await for my slip of unconsciousness and pounce.

All your weight on my chest taking custody of my lungs

choking out all my attempts for help.

You waited until you could get me alone-Cornered in the edges of my mind, vulnerable.

In a veil of fear, I awake.

okay, so i will be honest... I am an ameture and suck at format (i think). I am a little rusty since ive lost connection with writting for some months now and been trying to dedicate time to my poetry.. please be brutally honest and provide me with feedback and maybe corrections if my grammar is incorrect...

You have created a enigmatic tail in this poem. Perhaps something that happened in your past? The description of what is unspoken of is wonderful. It describes a feeling many have felt. One that fear instills in us at one point or another. A point in time we all have shared.

and yes, this happened to me. Last night actually! i was sleeping and was experiencing a sleep paralysis like state and was watching through my eyes , body frozen, unable to speak as a dark cloud started to surround me... This poem here is one of two that i wrote after i was woken up.. would you like to read the first one i wrote? i thought "entity in the dark" was the better of the two but id love to hear your thoughts on the other...

sounds like an encounter with a beast-like lover.. still sounds scary though... unless like some people are into that sort of thing.. very vivid though.. like I was staring down a mountain lion!
