Single Nights

Single Nights

A Poem by KTizzle
"

a poem about being single

"
Last night
I kissed a guy
and tasted vodka
with a tinge of bar smoke
mesmerized by the way his eyes spoke.
I followed his sultry voice
outside where his hands found my hips
and I licked the freedom off his lips
the freedom in knowing I can forget his name,
in knowing he will forget mine
in knowing I could get lost in a good time
But we only kissed
and when he left, I smiled.
It felt good to be wild once in awhile.

i see, feel and taste the moment ..i see the bar sign, neon in the background .. i can smell the smoke ..funny how i have such defined memories of it all ..but like your poem says .. i don't remember the face or the name ... really like this line:
"and I licked the freedom off his lips"
you have captured a moment and a wild spirit indeed ..nice job!

you really create a perfect moment here...just thinking of what could have been...that was enough...that was the 'wild" the speaker needed.
