Other sideA Poem by RedRoomXO
A drift, walking a fine line with my sanity.
The cold concrete, I’ve felt you before. Looking to escape, yet shackled by these chains. Fear is a friend I know. Wishing It was as easy as shedding this flesh. As I bump in the night where I truly feel alive, here I am free. No longer caged, or a pawn in this game. No longer following the formalities of life. As this smoke leaves my mouth, lights illuminate. The heavy conscious I carry lightens. As if I’m seeing the world from the other side. © 2018 RedRoomXO |
