Every Time

Every time I think of you,

I get lost in my imagination.

Every time I think I hear your voice,

My heart has an acceleration.

  

Every time I see what looks like you,

I cannot help but smile.

But yet I feel it in my heart,

That you are not closer than a mile.

 

Every time I smell what seems like you,

My heart skips a beat,

Every time I play basketball,

I make that one basket, which is a feat.

 

Every time I hear your name,

A smile breaks on my face.

But it wipes away as I remember

Next to me is an empty space.
