Butterfly

Butterfly

A Poem by Rem Sevven
"

Written in 2001.

"
As I sit there asking 'why?'
I see a figure of grace and splendor,
                      Steady moves just like a shouting star;
But not so distant, not so far.
I wait there froze in wonder.
           Are you watching me?
                     Or could I say,
That I am the one who is far away?
A silver guise, a distant view,
Oh how I wish I could be you.
Wings likes rays shining from a rainbows light,
Radiant as the stars at night.
Silk in place of wings it seems,
Like an image seen in dreams.
With all the innocence of a child's face,
Full of splendor, full of grace.
