This Cruel Game

This Cruel Game

A Poem by Rem Sevven
"

Written January 1, 2008.

"
You hear the Tempest's call,
And you try to get away,
But no matter how hard you try-
You just can't get away.

It's like a hard addiction,
Giving you both the pleasure and the pain.
Your moves are all decided-
By life, this cruel game.

You have no time for yourself.
Your heart is rotting on a shelf.
It seizes you, and you give in.
Your heart is stained with secret sins.

And with death you do caress-
All your pain and happiness.
You realize you are chained-
to life, this cruel game.
