Make A Choice

Your mind drifts into overdrive, 

so many directions you could take.

Even though you're sleep deprived, 

your mind is wide awake. 

One choice could break your heart,

another might even set you free.

If only you knew where to start, 

and didn't fear so much what could be.

The hurt comes from one place,

peace seems to be on the other side.

The despair that's upon your face,

Has now helped you to decide.

Choose peace over anything mean,

if you care about who you are.

Keep your emotions fully clean,

and don't let them push you too far.

I agree one hundred percent with this poem. The words you use are very meaningful. "Choose peace over anything mean,if you care about who you are," I love this line. This was a nice and illuminating poem.

Thank you Franco, I'm glad you understood it. I've learned a lot lately about how much mean things can destroy your inner peace. It's a shame. But kindness can bring peace.
