A Marching Song

A Marching Song

A Poem by Renegade

I want to write
A marching song
It needs some light
To sing along
I’ll try with my might
To make it right
It’s all just a slight
Within the light

I am a loner
A stoner
A somewhat smitten donor
I am a groover
A louver
An intermittent mover
On the stage
A rage
I might just need a cage
I am a hex
Convex
Something to perplex
I am an annex
A manic
A vision of your panic
I am a game
So lame
It’s written in your brain

I want to write
A marching song
If it all goes wrong
It won’t be long
I’ll need a hit
From a big strong bong
For I want to write
A marching song

I am a spy
In guise
To see through the disguise
I am a wise
Just prize
For all those inner lies
In a grave
Concave
You might just be a slave
I am a curse
Coerce
A need to intersperse
I am a fence
Intense
You might just take offense
I am a curb
Reverb
Word are simply to be heard

I want to write
A marching song
If it all goes wrong
It won’t be long
I’ll need a boat
To row along
For I want to write
A marching song
