Poet, Writer, Woes

Poet, Writer, Woes

A Poem by Renegade

I can touch your soul
From a distance
For I am a
Writer and a poet
I can see the hole
That steals your soul
I can make it whole
Or just be a troll

I will take you up
I will take you down
I may spin you round
then show you the ground

I can write those things
That will make you sing
I can write the same
And just bring the rain

I can see those things
That only sadness brings
I can scribe on wood
Or some golden ring

I will touch your soul
When I am nowhere near you
I will fear you, spear you
And then just heal you

I seldom speak
The words I write
For perhaps that is
Just the inner Plight
Of some buried light
And those inner woes
Within the story told
In a poet and a writer’s soul
