Flow

Flow

A Poem by Renegade

Life will drip down to the floor
Where it collects for something more
Earth’s gravity will force a flow
With perhaps someplace to go

An inventory of the story
Does not leave much room for glory
An inventory of emotion
Results and faults accepted notions

A river flows across the floor
Seeking that crack below the door
A river seeps into those cracks
Created by those things that lacked

Ashes float in eddy currents
Within a soul without deterrents
A soul floats out with infinity
With the acceptance of reality

Safety nets all built with branches
Without support are simply staunchness
A falling soul that only found
The cold and hard of solid ground

A life’s lessons from the past
A screenplay written with no cast
A life’s ripple in the river of time
Will silently complete the rhyme
