A Song so Beautiful

A Song so Beautiful

A Poem by Renegade

There was a song so beautiful
All woven in my mind
It came to me quite brilliantly
Complete with every rhyme

A flash of light such a delight
A shimmer so divine
It was just like a symphony
Within the shadows of my mind

There was no need to seek a nurse
To pick up every verse
For such a song so beautiful
There’s nothing to coerce

There was a song so beautiful
All woven in my mind
It came to me quite brilliantly
Complete with every rhyme

Somehow in my greatest haste
Distraction had captured me
That song that was so beautiful
Had vanished from my thought

Perhaps one day to reappear
All woven in my mind
Complete with every rhyme
With everything in time
I wouldn’t drop a dime
On any other verse
For it is not a curse
