Snapshots

A Poem by Renegade

Snapshots

Snapshots taken of a moment in time
Captured, held within your mind
Snapshots taken of a slice of memory
Developed, fixed to the family tree

Windows that reveal a simple find
Locations, notations within the mind

Allow the soul to start to flow
With the slow rhythmic waves
In that absence of a haze
On an ocean of emotion
In the absence of commotion
And the time is simply frozen

Frustrations, creations that make it blind
Repetitions, prisons for a soul resigned

Simple days there is no haze
Simple days without a phase
When the wind has stopped its run
To strike a deal with the sun

And a soul is on the run
From the nothingness of one
And the mind runs from the night
In the search of something bright

Snapshots taken of the current emotion
Guided, divided then silently frozen
