Reality

Reality

A Poem by Renegade

Reality

No matter how I try to stay

Within the light outside the night

It always seems to pulled me in

That feeling that you get just when

Sunsets on a new days end

Deep inside you it is clear

There must be a purpose to adhere

So the darkness doesn’t shadow you

In an attempt to transform fear

To a darker form of courage

Never meant for any storage

My soul can reach white clouds

With melody and rhythms loud

Often it will reach storm clouds

And feel lonesome in a crowd

And when I find my mind at rest

I close my eyes as if to test

And wonder what it would be like

To transcend and take up flight

Through the branches of the family tree

In search of a new reality

And when this one does finally end

There is a new one round the bend

A peacefully simple knowledge known

That at the point a soul has flown

Sunlight’s reflections on some chrome

Show all the places it will roam

To show us that reality

Is only what we choose to see
