Pressure

Pressure

A Poem by Renegade

Pressure

A little pressure then release

A lifetime filled with hidden grief

Red river flow of sweet relief

A childhood lost in circumstance

Creates a soul that at first glance

Seems willing to just take the chance

I can hate it’s easy to

But I can’t love the way you do

For my soul has a scar of blue

A little pressure then release

A lifetime filled with hidden grief

Red river flow of sweet relief

Relationships are not my game

Most of them just end in pain

My soul would rather hesitate

Until it’s simply much to late

I can think the world of you

But haven’t got a single clue

On how to start a thing so new

A little pressure then release

A lifetime filled with hidden grief

Red river flow of sweet relief

That emptiness felt in a crowd

Speaks to me just oh so loud

When I am alone it brings me down

To that place I’ve known so well

Square and round with oblong to

A simple pile of white and blue

My mind just ponders what to do
