The Vessel

The Vessel

A Poem by Renegade

The Vessel

There is no catalyst needed

When the warnings they aren’t headed

And your mind creates a smelter

Where there isn’t any shelter

Anticipation is frustration

Loneliness is just sedation

When your mind needs elevation

In the search of new narration

Frustration turns to anger

When your soul is in the hanger

And your mind begins to wrestle

To contain it in a vessel

A Random act of kindness

Gives rise to sudden blindness

And your mind just wants to nestle

But the vessel is no trestle

The chemicals of emotion

Churned up like in the ocean

Giving rise just to the notion

That you’re sick of all the motion

A strange desire to lose control

To toss the oars and stop the row

Just then your mind it fills with glory

That only serves to deepen the story
