Mink

Mink

A Poem by Renegade

Mink

You know it’s a lot harder

Then one might actually think

To see all the hues

To feel like a mink

It’s another new border

Where sunset pink can soften zinc

To purposefully lose

To throw the game with a wink

Sweet summer blues

My walking shoes

My mind it thinks

My soul it drinks

You know you can’t barter

When everything is in sync

Just soak in the views

And try not to blink

My soul can see farther

When my mind makes the link

To the solace of blues

And the edge of the brink

Sweet summer blues

My walking shoes

My mind it thinks

My soul it drinks
