Follow Thru

 

What is this thing that I can feel?

I wonder if it’s mutual

But I am not sure that it is real

Perhaps I just misread the deal

 

If this thing that I can feel

Is something that is actually real?

There must be something we can do

To create some kind of follow thru

 

Unspoken things create a rift

Even if their meant to lift

When left unspoken for too long

Another wrong does not make right

When two souls can see a light

But neither soul knows where to start

 

I’d like to meet that side of you

That dreams of these unspoken things

And tell that person that it’s alright

To be the one you are within

Without it feeling like a sin

To follow what is deep within
