Love

A poem about what love means to me.

Love is an emotion

You feel towards another.

Many others.

It is the happiness you feel

When others are happy.

It is the sadness you feel 

When others are sad.

To love someone

Is to wish them good times

And to be there for the bad.

Empathy is the common term,

For "Love" has been Hallmark-tainted

And made only appropriate

To say to few.

Well, f**k that,

I love you.

Good ending. "Hallmark-tainted"--so true--and the love sent is fabricated. Many times crudity is simply honesty.
