Under the Oaks

Under the Oaks

A Poem by L. C. Rhodes
"

Creepy nature poem for those who like creepy nature poems.

"
Bury me beneath the Oaks,
That's where I'd like to Sleep.

Scatter my ashes wide, Dear,
There's nothing left to keep.

Bury me beneath the Oaks,
May all their branches weep.

Far into the forest, Dear,
Its cool and dark and deep.

Bury me beneath the Oaks,
that's where one day we'll meet.

Come find me in the forest, Dear,
when you take that gentle leap.

I admire the circuit this makes and the simplicity of the circle.
