The Kyrielle is a French form written in Quatrain verses.
Each Quatrain contains a repeated final line or phrase as a refrain.
There is no limit to the number of verses, but three is the required minimum.
Normal rhyme structure is a/a/b/B, c/c/b/B, d/d/b/B, etc; with B being the refrain line.
Alternate structure is a/b/a/B, c/b/c/B, d/b/d/B, etc; with B being the refrain or repeated line. Mine is in iambic meter, composed of eight syllables (4 feet) per line, but line length is author's choice.
Painting: "Lonely" in oils, by Sergei Chepik
If you would like to try this beautifully expressive form and need help, just let me know.
It can be used for any emotion, mood, or topic.
Constructive (well meant) comments and criticism are always welcome! : )

With such an effulgent review as yours, why would I want another? And, that you love anything about my humble poetry, think it's wonderful, and nicely written certainly sets the page warmly aglow.
Thank you you ever-so gratefully for gifting a smile! ⁓ Richard🖌
This reads like a sonnet in some ways...it's deeply heartfelt and emotional......who was your muse?
The longing and aching for a lost lover...very relatable....
Thanks for sharing this...and the font is cool...

It is an honor to share with you and to receive such inspiring praise. It's also gratifying that you were able to relate to this work's emotional timbre.
You are correct in picking-up on the Sonnet aspect; this one is composed in iambic meter, as are sonnets.
I've never had a muse, per se, unless one would consider a creative imagination to be a muse. I also think the Papyrus font is "cool" … it seems to fit the poem's mood.
You're most welcome for the share, My New Friend! ⁓ Richard🖌
I have truly lost count of the times you have swept me off my feet! At first, I thought it was your smile, the warmth and passion of your soul, but you are so much more...and the caliber of your writing gives voice to it in whatever form you choose. I am so lucky to have you as a friend! So lucky!

Wow... this poem really touched me. It feels like every line is soaked in quiet grief and longing, yet there’s such tenderness in it too. The way you return to “I’ll hold you softly ~ in my dreams” again and again... it’s like a whisper of comfort in the middle of all the pain. You can feel how deeply this person was loved, how much they’re missed. It honestly gave me chills. It’s beautiful and heartbreaking all at once. You truly do write beautifully.. I really mean it. Reading your work has always been like a burst of emotions for me, like an emotional roller-coaster I never want to get off from.
Splendid work here! As always.

Your gracious reviews (poems in themselves) never fail to sweep through my deepest, most grateful senses.
Then, when you express so accurately each intent of my words, I know we've connected on a truly meaningful level … what more could a hopeful bard wish for? A question I cannot answer. : )
And, the way you actually "feel" the soft whisper of the refrain is simply uncanny! "Chills, heartbreakings, an emotional roller-coaster you never want to get off … sheesh, Poetess!
Who, I ask, Dear Ayesha, could ask for more? Another unanswerable question!
Thank you ever-so warmly! ⁓ Richard🖌

A beautifully conceived and emotionally replete Kyrielle with a very surreal feel to it. You bring out the poet's wistfulness so fully to the fore! Lonely yet wishful, parted yet secure in his dream of love, its just wonderful to read and feel your words, dear Richard. You aced the form, the words and the dream! Expressing my deepest appreciation for your poetry!

A poem's core essence will be acknowledged and embraced in review by one whose acumen has reached level capable of it. This is when I know my earnest efforts to compose and share, with bright hopes of genuinely pleasing others (or, at least one), has come true.
Yet, when such graciously humbling, gratifying words as yours reaches so deeply, there's a vibrant thrum that envelopes a bard in sheer bliss he cannot, dare not, deny.
Thank you ever-so warmly, Dear Divya, for still reading, enjoying, and appreciating my humble poetic efforts … after all the years.
