Her ink vibrates in universal amplitude,

with such sure vibrant force pure ecstasies exude …

releasing with each graceful sweep of every stroke,

her words resound upon the page, as tho’ they'd spoke.

Her flowing mane, as ebon as the Stygian night,

or golden as soft-textured braids, corn-silken bright.

I’ve seen her auburn waves, as hot as Hades’ fire;

or, lustrous brunette strands, that spark ardent desire.

Oh, passion’s touch, awake unto life’s fervent dreams,

that evermore, desires and wantings merge as streams.

From every heartsong pours her sweet elixir’s voice,

eternal rapture ~ captured … aye, you'll have no choice.

The shape she takes, it may be lithe or slightly slim …

might be, she’s strong or stout; perhaps, or fairly prim.

She’s every woman who has bravely shared her heart,

learned how to charm us with her wonders from the start.

Each smitten bard in every land and realm worldwide,

has surely yearned to have her writing by his side …

impressive with her graceful wisdom’s keen surprise,

indulge him with the magic in her spark’ling eyes.

If Free Verse, Sonnet, Villanelle, or lovely Prose,

it matters not what kind of poem she bestows;

for, when she blends her heart and soul into her ink,

it's hers you'll be ~ when she signs with a knowing wink*

This poem is so lovely it plays like a melody.
So tender and silky, it speaks to me.
How many hearts have you stolen or left throats swollen?
My dear man you are a rare gift with song,
Please don't keep me not waiting long
For another chance to hear your voice
Please understand I have no choice.
I'd love to dance to your tune
In the hour of midnights first June.
(Ok hardly is it advice to give or comment made. But I had to answer in this way, for to read your words is to dance in celebration to a man who celebrates women. Thank you for sharing

What a beautiful compliment to the poetess, or perhaps all the poetess’ as one. The way it is written feels both ancient and new, as though you are writing to Sappho herself as well as all the poetess’ that came after her.
“Each smitten bard in every land and realm worldwide,
has surely yearned to have her writing by his side”…. I can’t explain why, but I absolutely loved these lines.
You are clearly very skilled at writing. This was such a pleasure to read. In fact I will probably be back at some future time to read it again when I need inspiration. So thank you for that.

In reading your comments I noted a few issues you have I did not understand: (1) that you are "aghast of behold". (2) "autic language". (3) "The review you called her broad, Very questionable". Perhaps, you could elaborate a bit more on these issues, that I might better grasp where I used those words and what it is you're getting at, specifically.
Other than those, what a nice compliment that you think "the poem in itself is beautiful".
Is "Brood" your pen name?

Hellos, dear Richard, it doesn't go against the poem, at all, the comments and reviews were mentioned in a saddening way to me; a dismay, because it is about a dear heart, and then the reviewers based it; understandably, men like to laugh, I will not explain dear, except that it makes me cry for your heart because women never understand the laughter of men, not in rejecting way but jolly way; difference is, ...

It dawned on me you might be referring to my response to Audrey M's review where i said, "With a broad "Thank you" heart smile, Dear Audrey 🌸"
If this is whay you mean, you completely got it wrong … the "broad" word referred to the width of my smile from reading her lovely review.
I NEVER laugh AT women … maybe WITH women, but never at them. The entire poem is lauding and celebrating all women poets, not a defamatory word spoken about women, or a iota of intent.
Somehow, you got me and my poem all wrong.
Perhaps, you could reread this loving homage with new eyes.

I highly respect your honesty, but not your judgment of me toward all the honorable poetesses I know, respect, and adore.

Okay, Richard. I did say I loved it. Not in referance to the poem but the outrage of the critics,
I found it beautiful, and I love it, sufficiently said, and outstanding. I'm just critique. A critique is either positive or negative. Mine are not meant non well. I speak as it is. Not how it is wils't.
