Sweep Springtime breezes’ velvet thrill,

soft sunlight gleams, pure waters spill …

flow trickling, cool, clear crystal streams

through verdant leas ’til mirror-still.

Pure waters spill, soft sunlight gleams,

as Nature wakens lovers’ dreams.

Wave treetops high to clouds above,

swift swallows dip, gray sleeping dove,

swans glide together, smoothly slip.

Such visions beg a gentle shove;

gray sleeping dove, swift swallows dip …

at last, resolve has lost its grip.

Some say they’ve heard, “It’s destiny.”

All others claim, “’Tis magic’s spree!”

One thing’s for sure, whate'er its name,

we were designed for living free …

“’Tis magic’s spree!” all others claim.

Without you ~ love would have no flame.

Two sestet verses minimum (6 lines) in iambic tetrameter (8 iambic syllables).
Lines 2 and 5 break at the forth syllable, swap, and repeat with each other,
creating the rhyme scheme a,B-A,b,a,A-B,b as follows:.

I love your poetry!! I wish I could be so creative with words!! It seems like one of the swallows lost its grip and fell to it's demise (I think); however it's written so beautifully that it comes across as a sometimes event in the course of life....like destiny, or magic, which ensures love us love.... great write Richard!
