Repeat After Me

Every morn as sunshine rises,

is one more day that I’ll be blessed.

For, I know there’ll be surprises;

sheer joyfulness each time expressed.

And, should I find that sorrow’s swept

its shadowed shapes across my heart,

I’ll repeat your words, as vows kept …

loving cares that will never part.

With these wondrous thoughts I've been graced,

I'm ever-so gratefully thrilled.

I promise to keep them well-placed,

'til my heartbeats, alas, are stilled.

Every morn as sunshine rises …

another day I will be blessed.
