My Friend the StormA Poem by Cough Syrup
When the atmosphere discharges,
I become one of the few who doesn't feel afraid I've found a loving home in the clouds and their symphony orchestra The watery wisps give me someone I can cry with and not feel chained back Drops of rain tell me their stories I'd tell them mine if I weren't so intrigued My friends don't visit often It's a pleasure to catch up before the wind shoos them away
