Skittle People

Skittle People

A Poem by HeyxxJude

Skittles and people,

Two different things say you,

Not at all,

Quite the same,

Say I

Hard on the outside

Soft on the inside

Heat them up

They melt real fast,

Sometimes only on the inside

Chill them for a bit

And they turn hard as rocks,

All around.

Hold them in your hands

For more then a moment

They melt in your palm

And leave their stain

Crush them,

They are resilient,

Try again, and you are a bit more successful

Still trying to hold themselves together

Their last bits holding onto the pieces

About to be lost.

Hit them thrice,

And then they start to crumble away
