When it seemed no one would hold me dear,

Saw through my brash veneer

 

Plunging into the big bad world, we

Each other’s other half; in you I could see

 

What you showed no one else… a light,

Shiny-armored, honorable knight.

 

So long ago, we started sweet,

TRUE,

Content to make the other complete

 

Today, some would say, a traditional

LOVE

Still evolving, and unconditional

I, of all people, am not stuck on 'form' (mostly because I can't write or understand any of the wonderful forms available, hard as I, in the past, have tried to do so - finally gave up and just write the only way I know how - and that's questionable too) so, what's important to me, is what something says, does to/for me, and this write said very nice, warm things to me. It flowed very well (which I put a lot of emphasis on) - if it doesn't flow well I generally don't finish a piece and don't comment. Even a choppy, poorly thought out piece, can flow well.

Gee, getting long winded ... I liked it, okay . . . a lot.
