Hiding

Hiding

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

Affected by the news of the day

"
The evil you've done
the damage,
the lies

It's all reflected
in the void of your eyes

You skulk through dark alleys
of your twisted mind

When your soul is laid open
just what will we find?

Consumed by malice
in spite of your youth

Someone should have told you,
You can't hide from truth.

I completely agree. A powerful, relentless message this poem conveys to evildoers. I also really enjoyed the format. The rhyming and flow was perfect and the message was conveyed smoothly, but harshly.

Therapeutic as well, for these are the real emotions we all feel as of late. Awesome.

Thank you, Cyntax.
I love the creative structure of this poem. It's short and to the point, but it expresses a clear message. I can easily see the emotions you depicted in this poem.

Thank you so much, Bri!
Getting your frustrations out in writing again, I see. You know, even without the motivating event for writing this piece, it would be good. I love how it's structured, it's darkside stuff and it's got good rhythm. I can imagine it being written strictly from imagination, even without the Boston bombing. You're showing a different side of Rita.

Well, the one that survived knows about not being able to hide--that's for sure. Consumed by malice, yes they were.

Absolutely. Sad for everyone, even themselves. Thank you for reading.
What soul? They should set that boat adrift the Boston Harbor and let him die a slow death. Sad piece, well written & potent Rita.

So that's how you rhyme and it feels so fine.

Thank you; appreciate your review!
This is short, but powerful. The rhyming is absolutely flawless, and it's current, which makes it resonate even more soundly. I really have nothing to critique. It's perfect.

i can't help but wonder if this is spawned by the incident in boston, could be the colorado theatre shootings, could be sandy hook , could be this whole damned country has lost its fookin mind. i appreciate your values and applaud your resonant words herein!!!!
