Wedding GownA Poem by Rita L. SevWorn only onceCream
and lace formed lovingly by
deft maternal fingers And
even after all these years The
memory still lingers Preserved
it is, inside a box; Occasionally
I peek When
that day seems far away And
its nostalgia I seek That
gown I’ll never wear again A
young bride’s homespun glory Carries
in its fabric My
very own love story. © 2013 Rita L. SevAuthor's Note
