Penny Candy

Free at dawn

Drink up sunshine

as it pours down,

a deluge through the green

 

Bite into liveliness

of those lush

and luscious leaves

 

Old Pennypack’s been christened

with crystal drops of sweet

 

To satisfy a craving

for Mother Nature’s treat
