to separate the beautiful

from the broken…

Thank you, Sheila - there are so many wonderful memories of loved ones no longer with us at this time of year... but they are part of the beauty of the season!

We decided to put our tree up the Friday after thanksgiving. Of course when we got all the boxes of decorations out and I straightened the strings of lights I discovered that half of them wouldn't work. I replaced bulbs and even a fuse without any luck. Finally I ended up going out to get new ones. It sort of made me sad. Great little poem Rita. :-)

what a great metaphor reflecting (no pun intended, or maybe it is) life...we are tested throughout life..and we have to always discern the broken from the beautiful...and can the broken be fixed?
can it once again become beautiful? we can only hope...i have found that when goes out the rest usually don't stay on...so one broken person will affect the others greatly.
