Gremlin

I think that there’s a gremlin

living in my desk at school;

he chews up all my papers,

making me look like a fool

 

I’m sure the little monster

wears a sly and impish smirk

when he climbs into my backpack

and he ruins all my work

 

When I tried to tell the teacher

she just shook her head and sighed;

might as well just do my homework,

since my gremlin’s been denied

Starting the clean up in the classroom this week - and yes, I have a student who is convinced there is "something" in his desk and/or schoolbag that keeps taking his papers... :)

Don't be too quick to disbelieve him, Gremlins can be very tricky. I once lived with a pencil eater, who came out at night and ate all the pencils in the house. I had to move three times before I got rid of him...

Lol! Come to think of it, I have a "trash-spreader" in my house, who leaves wrappers all over the place... Hope I don't have to move... :)

yeh .. i can relate .. life gets so stacked at times .. filled out papers to put in cement and a fence and ..yeh .. my dog did the finish work ..:)) Rita .. sending love and appreciation for you and our teachers across the world .. have a great summer (finally here ..maybe) and dont forget to put your feet up :

Thanks, Dale. I would actually have to believe the dog story, since in my second year teaching, my new puppy at the time actually did eat the corner off my lesson plan book... That was fun to explain to the principal...
