Surrender & Yield

Surrender & Yield

A Poem by Where Rivers Wander

Words that linger
rise inside of me
hoping to fill
a room of quiet fire
with echoes only few can hear

To drink them
from a cup of danger
letting the taste
wash over me
I surrender

Words that pull
shiver through my skin
reaching to touch
a flame that waits in shadow
with secrets only hearts can know

To taste them
from lips unafraid
letting heat coil through me
I yield

Your poem reflects on the power of language to evoke deep feelings and connections and how it can be thrilling yet risky.
Very meaningful poem..
