Ashes Where Echoes Return

Ashes Where Echoes Return

A Poem by Where Rivers Wander

Starting a fire
You answer
Stirring a danger
You crave
Lost in the heat
Of a dancer
On a river of words
You save

To linger again
In shadows returned
On a current
No power can hold
Do we wander again
Where fire has burned
On the ashes
Of words so bold

Following your spark
I answer
Feeling the danger
You name
Caught in the shimmer
Of shadows
On the river of words
I tend the flame

To wander again
Where echoes return
Along the current
No power can bind
Do we linger again
Where warmth still glows
Through the ashes
Of whispers entwined

-Rivers
-Wander

Your poem shows us readers how passion (symbolized by fire) interacts with the transient nature of experiences, suggesting that while moments fade, all their echoes and effects remain. Deep poem..
