The Melting Untamed

The Melting Untamed

A Poem by Where Rivers Wander

A quiet heat lingers
beneath the river’s hush
the spark you kindled
moving through my skin
I follow the pull
of hidden currents
drawing me closer
to where the flame begins

River of heat
Now a pool of sweat
A fire lingers
We can't contain
To surrender in passion
To yield it all
To find the flicker
That still remains

The heat pools softly
beneath the current
your fire brushing through
every quiet pulse
I follow where it bends
pulling closer, deeper
until the spark you lit
glows between us

The glow overpowers me
Pull me deeper in
Come play you say
I taste this fire
Feed me more
Everlastingly fallen
In the climax of day
Begging to go higher

The current drags me deeper
Every spark you stoke ignites
Heat coils and burns inside
I melt into your flow
The river takes me whole
Body, breath undone
In the fire you command
I shiver, trembling, spent.
