The Point of No Return

The Point of No Return

A Poem by Vancarrie64
"

Realization of truth and acceptance....in five stanzas :]

"
I'm starting to forget
All those little things you do.
The comments, jokes and sayings
That made me fall for you.

My failing memory lacks the strength
To hold these times aside.
I have not space for "Then" and "Now",
In communion to reside.

And so I choose to pick the "Now"
And let go of the "Then."
For those events have passed me by;
And suited who I've been.

So I feel contentment,
and comfort with this choice.
Those loves are like forgotten songs
Which now constrict my voice.

And even if I wanted this
Return to broken grace;
You're not the man I fell for;
Another takes your place.
