A poem on life

Life is like a bird,

My friend,

It needs water sweet as love,

It needs care as hope,

It needs food as trust

And togetherness like the earth’s crust.

 

Life is like a river,

My friend,

It starts drop- by- drop

And ends at an ocean.

Like the river life has its own pace

And has its own direction.

 

Life is like mud,

My friend.

It needs a potter

To convert it into a useful ware.

Like the potter,

Life needs a creator.

 

Life is like glass,

My friend.

It shatters,

It is transparent,

And is delicate.

 

Life is like time,

My friend.

It is pure,

It is priceless,

It never returns

And is not to be wasted.
