The White Dove

A white dove falls from the skies
Nor sick, nor a reason to die
Time stops before it hits the ground
No movement, No sound

The Wind that once lifted this bird
Can’t be felt, nor be heard
The Ocean once so brutal and strong
Now lays all quiet the shores along

The whole universe now stands still
Little bird don’t die, nor lose your will
It’s all too late, already dark as night
This little bird lost its fight!

In memories of my sister
May you rest in peace

Ronny this poem is so very very beautiful and I'm so glad I came to read it.
Very warm, loving, tender tribute. It's hard to find comfort when we lose someone we love but I truly believe expressing ourselves helps with acceptance and healing.

It's many years ago so the deepest "wounds" have healed over time.

This is many years ago and I felt the world fell apart when it happened, so this is a re-write of a poem that I wrote fore many years ago.
The feelings will always be there but you learn to live with them.
