sun searching

positive and dark

I see the sunshine peering through this mess
But the Dark clouds still cover most of the sky
You can still hear the rolling thunder
You can still see the lightning flashing
But that sunshine is there
there is just enough to give you hope
Hope that the storm will stop
This storm that is called my life

But is it there just to tease me
Am I just a mouse in a maze
Am I just aimlessly trying to get that cheese
But am I ever gonna reach that cheese
Is that sun ever going to take back control of the sky
I do not know the answer yet
But I'm going to continue searching for that cheese
I'm going to still hold faith that the sun will shine
I am going to continue the rat race that is life
