DaydreamA Poem by AnnaThere's something in the way the Earth moves, that leaves me behind; quiet and star-strewn. Where there's castles with dust in the grooves, rainy Romanian woods, and winters paling June. There's something in the way time releases, that has me frozen; hollow and tranquil. There's Magnolia flowers with caramel creases, white-rock cliffs, cold, misty and still. There's something in the way the wind sighs, that tells me stories; gentle and solitary. There's coastlines with heavy darkening skies, hot tea, and shivering harbor lights on the sea. There's something in the way night comes, that takes me away; breathless and strung. There's a ballad with homely taps and hums, grandfather clocks, and something unsung.
