SeawardA Poem by Anna
The sea rumbles-
thunder hugs the surface. Waves crash ashore; their hearts all foam and brime. What secret sinks? Down below the twilight pier; asunder in the starry black. The sea cries- winds out on the water. Fog curls 'cross the bay; its soul a captain's search light. What malice waits? Descending to the murky depths; caught in dragging currents. The sea trembles- rain prickling the blue. Steamships blowing far away; their essence of phantom storms. What arcane thing? Spiraling into velvet trenches; it is pulled by wayward tides.
