CastleA Poem by AnnaWillows guard the old castle overtaken by viridescent ivy; fallen stone knights resting in their mighty cracked hauberks. Shattered glass once clear as water now moldy and ancient, the shimmer and glitter faded away to a distant sea-crest to be stolen by the lonely hands of Sometime and Somewhere. The derelict stairwell coaxes shadows from her dusty steps tripping into daylight and vanishing in the overgrowth. Decay is still; the wind is fading quietly into hazy phantoms; the underworld's storm is rearing thunderheads beneath the broken statues; old brass crowns on dark crystal thrones.
