On the Other Side

On the Other Side

A Poem by Anyrose

The grass is always greener on the other side,
It may just be perception not necessarily white.
It often looks like something it is not,
What seems so clear may blur when thought.

Those who lack real shelter
Makes you feel the most at home.
And the bravest of hearts
Always fear of their own doom.
Ugly's not bad neither beauty good,
It may just be perception not necessarily the truth.

Not all that shines will ever be gold,
Though it's summer, some still feel cold.
When you change your perception and look at things right,
You will warmly be welcomed to the sunny side.

Perhaps their grass looks greener, it's true,
Because they've painted it fresh, brand new.
But remember this wisdom, and hold it near:
From the other side, your grass looks greener here.

A very thoughtful poem. It reminds us that perception shapes reality more than appearances.
