1 Corinthians 9:22 - Be Relatable Before Evangelical (Bible Journal)

My journal entry from the Crossroads Anywhere app for today's Scripture reading of 1 Corinthians Chapter 9.

"When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some."

I will fully admit that going out and telling people about my faith is something I need to work on. I have been taught in my local church that the best place to start is by building a bond/connection with someone initially before approaching deeper faith topics. Paul had the the right idea of finding common ground with those he interacted with, and not staying in a box of one way of thinking and acting. Being open to connecting to others where they are at shows our own willingness to listen, and will potentially open up the chance to have a great talk about God.

Lord, please help me to be better at talking to others about You. Help me to also be relatable, a good listener, and willing to meet people where they are, truly getting to know the authentic person when opportunities for these connections arise. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
